Your entire hotel, in the palm of their hand. No app to download.
Cashless, no-app staff gratuities. Per-staff QR codes proven at resort scale.
Tipping that runs alongside your property management system, not through it
NexGen Guest does not connect into your PMS today, and does not need to. Digital tipping runs independently, so it can go live without a PMS project or an IT queue. Deeper PMS connectivity, including posting a gratuity to the room folio, is on our roadmap.

Does hotel digital tipping require a PMS integration?
No. Digital tipping can run entirely independently of the property management system. Guests scan a staff member’s QR code and pay in the browser, and tips reach employees through existing payroll. A PMS connection is only required for folio posting, meaning charging a tip to the room to settle at checkout.
Hotel technology projects usually stall at the same place: the integration. A new tool needs a connection to the property management system, that connection needs vendor involvement, and the whole thing joins a queue behind everything else on the roadmap. Months pass before anyone sees value.
Digital tipping does not have that shape. The transaction is between a guest and a staff member, and the money settles to the property's own account and flows through the payroll run you already operate. None of that requires the PMS to be involved, which is why tipping can be live while a PMS project is still being scoped.
See how tipping works today
Each employee has their own code. The tipping page opens in the phone browser with no app, no account, and no property system involved.
Guests pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay through a PCI-certified processor, and funds settle to the property’s own Stripe account in one to two business days.
Each gratuity is attributed to the named employee and reaches them through the payroll run you already operate, with exportable records for reconciliation.
Every employee has a personal code, so each tip is attributed to the person who earned it.
The whole guest experience is a browser page behind a QR code. Nothing to install on either side.
Apple Pay, Google Pay and card checkout through a PCI-certified payment processor.
Attributed, exportable earnings records that drop into the payroll cycle you already run.
Employees see daily, weekly and monthly totals with per-tip detail, without a back-office request.
Tip volume and trends by department, staff member and date, with scheduled exports.
To be direct about it: NexGen Guest does not currently integrate with Oracle OPERA, Mews, Cloudbeds or any other property management system, and none is required to run digital tipping today. Everything described above is live and runs independently.
PMS connectivity is on our roadmap. The capability it unlocks first is folio posting, letting a guest add a gratuity to the room bill and settle it at checkout rather than paying in the moment. That is described in more detail on charge a tip to the room, which is likewise a roadmap page rather than a live one.
Why we say so plainly: integration claims are easy to make and hard to unpick during an evaluation. If a specific PMS platform is decisive for your property, talk to us and we will tell you exactly where it sits rather than where we would like it to sit.

NexGen Guest is tipping-native and built for hotels, with a true no-app browser experience and per-staff QR codes that attribute every gratuity to the right employee. Because it runs independently of the property management system, it can be live at a property without waiting on an integration slot, and it extends to group and pooled tipping, staff earnings dashboards and gratuity analytics on the same foundation.
Not today. NexGen Guest runs alongside your property management system rather than connecting into it, which means digital tipping can go live without a PMS project, vendor ticket, or IT queue. Deeper PMS connectivity is on our roadmap. If a specific platform matters to your evaluation, talk to us about where it sits.
No. Tipping runs entirely on its own today. Each staff member has a personal QR code, guests scan it and pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay in the browser, and tips settle to the property's own account and reach employees through the payroll you already run. Nothing touches the PMS, so there is no dependency to schedule around.
Two things principally. First, folio posting: letting a guest add a gratuity to their room bill and settle it at checkout rather than paying on the spot. Second, richer context, such as mapping tips to a stay or a department automatically instead of by configuration. Both are roadmap items, and both build on the tipping flow that is already live.
No. Charging a gratuity to the room folio depends on PMS connectivity and is on our roadmap, not live. Guests tip on the spot today by scanning a staff member's QR code and paying by card or digital wallet. See charge a tip to the room for how that is intended to work.
Because there is no system to connect, rollout is an operational exercise rather than a technical one: set up staff profiles and their personal QR codes, decide where the codes live for each department, and confirm how tips flow into your payroll cycle. There is no PMS vendor dependency and no integration window to wait for.
Oracle OPERA, Mews and Cloudbeds come up most often, since they cover a large share of the market. NexGen Guest does not currently integrate with these or any other PMS, and none is required to run digital tipping today. PMS connectivity is on the roadmap; we would rather tell you plainly where it stands than imply a connection that does not exist.
